Yeah, I dont remember either. I finally pulled the trigger on ordering the final chunk of parts needed to get the car on the road. Doesnt seem like much, but it add's up right quick. Consisting of the following..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Chasebays brake line relocation kit&lt;br /&gt;DIF clutch line&lt;br /&gt;DIF turbo oil/coolant lines&lt;br /&gt;Spec Stage 4 6puck clutch&lt;br /&gt;Wiring Specialties s14 sr20det to s13 240 conversion harness&lt;br /&gt;Wiring Specialties transmission harness&lt;br /&gt;Brian Crower adjustable cam gears (to get rid of VTC)&lt;br /&gt;Megan Racing light weight pullies&lt;br /&gt;OEM timing chain kit, accessory belts, AND OEM filter ;)&lt;br /&gt;ARP 2000 headstuds&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Started off assembling the engine with the help of Greg. So in the mean time its time for engine bay prep. It sure has been a long time since I last posted on this blog, mainly due to having another blog which I shut down due to it not being everything I imagined it to be, so Im back to the simple blogger and carrying on!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Update on the car? Yeah it still doesn't run. Slowly in the past few months I have done a few things to get it ready to be back on the road, but with a recent knee surgery, the last few months have been a write off.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During the winter, I bought myself an S14 SR20DET w/ T28&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/djsanj/IMAG0175.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There was red alarms going off everywhere saying I should not buy this engine. Permatex silcone everywhere, engine caked in oil, etc etc, but I bought it anyways considering I was getting a deal from a friend. Didn't work out to well for me. Since everything was leaking, I decided to order a full re seal kit, and Apex-i headgasket, no big deal. Right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/djsanj/IMAG0220.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wrongzorz. Pulled the head off to do the headgasket and to my surprise, the exhaust valves on cyl 4 where completely clean as compared to the rest, and had little chunks of valve missing. I currently dont have a pic to show that though.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/djsanj/566214d7.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(Head pulled off and all parts neatly layed out at Greg's place)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After consulting with a few friends, we deemed a head rebuilt would be best instead of replacing just two valves and half assing shit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So moving forward, I have currently purchased some cool valve train components consisting simply of:&lt;br /&gt;Brian Crower springs and titanium retainers&lt;br /&gt;Brian Crower stainless steel valves&lt;br /&gt;OEM keepers&lt;br /&gt;Jim Wolf Technologies brass valve guides&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/djsanj/2011-06-28223824.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;and a couple other things that I currently dont remember. Today I sent the cylinder head off to get rebuilt, should be getting that back in a few weeks which I def look forward to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In april, Dan, Andrew &amp; I pulled the engine out of the ol' lady, which was a pain in the ass due to it being cold, me being a whiny bitch because it was cold, and the seal on the engine hoist blowing out, which lifted the engine JUST enough to go over the rad support (with a little bit of man handling from Dan &amp; Andrew).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/djsanj/18d734ae.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After finally being pulled, I stripped out the ABS unit, and marked "X"s on the holes which I plan on covering up if I get my hands on a welder. The solution to all my issues.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have an ABS unit that does Jack shit, power steering setup that leaks, dying clutch damper box...and a shoddy engine harness.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Time to make the Engine bay look as good as the exterior of the car.&lt;br /&gt;I plan to shave unnecessary holes, tuck random wires, and paint the engine bay the exterior color.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is where ChaseBay's comes into play. Figured its time.&lt;br /&gt;Well, I havent driven the car since basically July. It is confirmed that the engine has rod knock, time for a new bottom end.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was approached by a couple of photoG friends, came into talks of taking shots of my car, how can any one resist, i said eh, ill drive on the broken motor since its going to be replaced anyways, and went for some pictures. Tried to install the manifold. Doesn't line up with half the studs on the head. I guess that's what happens when you get crazy deals on exhaust manifolds. Went back to my stock manifold. Bolted everything back up, changed the oil, primed, and she fired up to her usual beautiful engine tone. Took it for a drive, car drove mint. Pulled over, checked if everything was good, no leaks, etc...and went on my merry way. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As usual. That's where things got shitty. Hit 13lbs of boost, and look in my rear view mirror..all I see is smoke. First thing I thought, ah just a head gasket, no big deal, but it smelled like oil, pull into the driveway...engine starts knocking....we will leave it at that until further dianosis.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For now. My first Amateur drift competition at Castrol Raceway just 10 mins south of Edmonton. Drift Mania!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A special thanks goes out to alll my friends and family that showed up this weekend to support me, it meant alot :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Started off bright and early Saturday morning with my Team "Sour Kraut Speed Shop".&lt;br /&gt;Which consisted of my two mechanics: Jason Schneider &amp;amp; Greg Rego, My camera girl: Jamie Wilkinson and well... MEEE!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pulled into castrol raceway right before 10am, went to the drivers meeting, got teched..and failed. Needed to bolt down the battery box better, dump all my coolant and run straight water amongst other things. Within 10mins, Greg and Jason had the car ready to go, and I was off to my first practice run. That posed rather interesting, considering I just mounted grippy tires up front and poopy linglong tires in the rear...the car sucked. By this time it was noon, and we had a two hour break before qualifying started. Which gave the boys plenty time to look over the car, made sure everything was nice and tight in the suspenion, slapped on a brand new set of tires in the rear...and waited.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Qualifying came around...I did no less then go balls to the wall, as I always say "Go big, or go home"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object height="385" width="480"&gt;&lt;param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1SU0JRXPfF4&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1"&gt;&lt;param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"&gt;&lt;param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"&gt;&lt;embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1SU0JRXPfF4&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="385" width="480"&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unreal run!! Aside from my spin out, It was said by the announcer, that of the day, at that time I had the fastest entry and best angle on entry. Here is when things got shitty......&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object height="385" width="480"&gt;&lt;param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VYdM3x2mrEc&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1"&gt;&lt;param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"&gt;&lt;param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"&gt;&lt;embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VYdM3x2mrEc&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="385" width="480"&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Transitioning upon entry, the car lost all grip and I spun, due to me dumping all my oil, soon as i got out of my spin, my oil light went on...and I killed the car, I should have coasted off the track, but I did the opposite and the whole track was covered in oil....cause a 45 min delay due to clean up. Whoops. Sorry guys! Note to self, dont use sr20DE oil filters on a DET car. Yep, you guessed it, my oil filter blew off! Never ever heard of that happening before. Had to do the tow of shame back to the pits where Team Sour Kraut had the car back up and running in 1hr only to find out I had blew my turbo from oil starvation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No big deal, I found out at that point I was sitting in 9th place outta 26 which I was ecstatic about. After they had cleaned up the track and had the rest of the drivers qualify their second runs, I was sitting at a happy 12th place.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With my turbo completly blown and eating oil, I decided to try to finish the night off with no boost. The car was soo under powered, I couldnt even get to the top of second gear before entry, which sealed my fate for the night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object height="385" width="480"&gt;&lt;param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/c1ePzoiyo_c&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1"&gt;&lt;param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"&gt;&lt;param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"&gt;&lt;embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/c1ePzoiyo_c&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="385" width="480"&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the end, I had a blast, disappointing that the turbo went bye bye, but will never forget this day!! Credit goes to  Wafaa for picking out the awesome color. Got some new wheels with flush  fitment, not the best wheels but they do the trick for now. They are  5zigen FN01r-C's ... (who thought of that name? Seriously).. 17x9 +15,  &amp;amp; 17x10 +25. Still hoping to run into a nice set of Work Eurolines  down the road. Still need to adjust the coilovers up front as the car looks like it has a reverse rake going on and run some proper tires. Car still ran like poop, I ran out of ideas on what the issue could be, took it to my good friends at Project Omega, and they were able to find out my fuel pump was failing...thats what it was this whole dyam time. Replaced it with a Walbro 255LPH pump and some NGK iridium spark plugs... No more misfire, and the car had this sudden burst of power... So I started browsing forsale threads on forums for things that really appealed to my eye. First things first, I needed tires for the season, what perfect timing, a local tire distributor in town was liquidating their tires as they were shutting down. I capitalized on that and purchased 14 215/45/r17 tires .. yea thats right 14!! So I was able to replace the turbo gaskets, fix the exhaust leak, and slightly fix the misfire, yet the car had no balls at all, turbo spooled nicely but it just did not perform like how an sr20det should. At the time, I didnt care all too much, I just wanted to drive it before it got parked for the winter!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I guess I forgot to state what mods it came with when I bought it&lt;br /&gt;SR20DET swapped in by Project Omega Speedworks Edmonton&lt;br /&gt;Full 3" catback exhaust with greddy downpipe.&lt;br /&gt;Apexi Intake&lt;br /&gt;Megan lowering springs on stock struts&lt;br /&gt;17x7 Tenzo wheels with like +35 offset(yuck) and 205/40/17 Yoko Parada Spec 2 tires.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lets just say with the sloppy suspension and sticky tires along side the fact the car had no power...it made it a very crummy car to drive. It had all the bell's and whistles that I wanted and then some. It is an LE so its loaded with leather and HUD ... and the kicker...NO RUST :D ... I had to buy it. So I did.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;It was my girlfriends brother's car at the time, he had placed a SR20DET in replacement of the old tired engine that was in it before. It was the most reliable and funnest ( is that even a word?) vehicle I have owned in winter!!
